Representations of Identity in the Arts

Employed by the Institute since 2007. My research focuses on literary studies, gender and sexuality studies, the history of Baltic modernism, exile literature and the history of the Latvian LGBT+ community. Project leader for 'Literature as a Medium for the Formation of Translated Self-Identity' (No. 410/2013) and 'A Walk Through Time: Flânerie and Modernity in Latvian Interwar Culture' (LZP-2022/1-0505).
