ILFA publishing house will participate in the Riga Book Festival
At the beginning of November, on 6 and 7 November, the annual Riga Book Festival – Autumn 2026 will take place at the National Library of Latvia, with the LU LFMI publishing house also taking part.
Throughout the festival, books published by LU LFMI will be on display and available for purchase, including two new releases: Kitija Balcare’s monograph Ekoteātris un tā sazarotība and the collection of essays Ielu maldos: pilsēta latviešu modernistu vērojumā, edited by Eva Eglāja-Kristsone, Artis Ostups, and Kārlis Vērdiņš.
Visitors are also warmly invited to three events organised by LU LFMI:

6 November, 16:30, Friends’ Room – “Who Does the Researcher Write For?” A discussion about who reads academic literature today and why.

7 November, 10:30, Children’s Reading Room – “Uci, uci, bērniņ, ucināties nāc!” A playful event for families with preschool-aged children.

7 November, 11:00, Level -1 of the National Library of Latvia – launch of Ielu maldos: pilsēta latviešu modernistu vērojumā.
