I have been working at the ILFA since 2020. My focus is on digital humanities: data analysis, visualization, computational methods (Python, JavaScript), the use of AI tools and large language models in humanities research. I also provide consultations on data management practices, organize educational DH events, and host a podcast on digital humanities. Since 2023, I have co-organized the Baltic Summer School of Digital Humanities.
In my other life, I am a part-time writer and the author of two books – Middle-Class Problems (2018) and Existentialism (2020). I have twenty years of experience teaching at universities and running practical workshops on literature, philosophy, creative writing, mentoring for creative individuals, and change management. Previously, I worked in the field of cultural policy, where I developed several strategies, conducted research, advocated for policy changes, and helped to create new laws and funding opportunities for creative professionals in Latvia.
