DH seminar to explore Neputns books and cultural heritage authorization strategies
Continuing the well-received DH seminar series, in which researchers present their digital methods, the next DH seminar, “Authorization Strategies of Cultural Heritage – An Analysis of Neputns Publishing House Books”, will take place on June 5 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the LFMI LFK Reading Room.
Dace Krecere-Vule and Haralds Matulis will share their experience working with the Neputns bibliography dataset to explore strategies for authorizing cultural heritage.
This seminar is especially suitable for beginners, but will also be valuable for experts, as we will start from the very first steps — selecting a dataset, deciding whether or not to use digital methods, and discussing the practical steps, challenges, and insights gained through collaboration between a humanities researcher and a DH researcher in data analysis. The seminar will cover the full process — from a research idea to the creation of a digital dataset and its processing using digital methods (Python, Excel, Voyant, Flourish).
Participation in the seminar is in person only. Please use the following link to register for the seminar: registration form.
The seminar was created in collaboration with the project “University of Latvia and Institutes in the European Research Area – Excellence in Research and Collaboration” (No. 1.1.1.5/3/25/I/011).
