Dialogues of Cultural Texts Between Lithuania and Latvia
My research interests are rooted in academic experience – from a Bachelor's degree in Baltic Philology at the University of Latvia to a Master's in Intermedial Studies of Literature at Vilnius University – forming the basis for an interdisciplinary approach that explores literature in close dialogue with other arts, particularly theatre and music. I am especially interested in Latvian and Lithuanian cultural contexts and the ways in which they interact — in literature and its translations, as well as within broader artistic and cultural frameworks. This interest is also reflected in practical work — I contribute to the maintenance and development of the institute’s digital resources, serve as one of the lead editors of the vortal literatura.lv, and write about Latvian and Lithuanian cultural processes both in academic outlets and in literary and cultural media. Alongside research, I also work as a translator and teach Lithuanian language and literature, fostering intercultural understanding and the exchange of knowledge between Lithuania and Latvia.
