UL ILFA Students Have Defended Their Final Theses

This week, students working in UL ILFA projects have successfully defended their Bachelor’s and Master’s theses.

At the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Latvia, the following students obtained a Bachelor’s degree:

  • Zaiga Birste, “Aspects of Married Life in the Context of Latvian Folk Songs”;

  • Elīza Paula Graudiņa, “Translations of Lithuanian Literature in Latvia (2008–2022)”.

At the Latvian Academy of Culture, the following students obtained a Bachelor’s degree:

  • Krišs Grunte, “The Semantics of the Spruce Tree in Latvian Folk Songs in the Context of Rites of Passage”;

  • Ketija Dzene, “Ethnic and Transnational Identity in the Diaspora: The Case of Latvians in Germany”.

At Liepāja University, Elvīra Žvarte obtained a Master’s degree with her thesis “Writing Old Age: Literary Gerontology in Co-Creation.”

We are proud of each and every one of them and wish them success in their future paths, as well as the achievement of new academic heights!
