UL ILFA Researchers to Receive Cabinet of Ministers Certificates of Recognition

At its meeting on October 29, the government decided to award Cabinet of Ministers honors and Certificates of Recognition to several cultural figures and organizations, acknowledging their contribution to the development of a democratic and lawful Latvian state, significant work in economic or public spheres, or achievements in other areas important to the country.
We are very pleased and proud that among the recipients of the Cabinet of Ministers Certificates of Recognition are also leading researchers from the University of Latvia Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art:
– Dr. philol. Rita Grīnvalde, leading researcher at the Institute and head of the Archives of Latvian Folklore – for significant achievements in the development of the Archives of Latvian Folklore and contributions to the preservation of Latvia’s cultural heritage;
– Dr. art. Arnolds Laimonis Klotiņš, leading researcher at the Institute and musicologist – for outstanding and fundamental contributions to the study and analysis of Latvian music and its processes.
