The selection process for academic positions has been completed (June 18, 2025)

The call for academic positions at the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia (ILFA) has concluded. On June 18, 2025, the ILFA Scientific Council held a closed vote to elect candidates to academic positions:

• Jānis Ozoliņš was elected Senior Researcher in the humanities and arts, in the field of linguistics and literary studies, subfield of literary theory, with a specialization in gender and sexuality studies;

• Artis Ostups was elected Researcher in the humanities and arts, in the field of linguistics and literary studies, subfield of comparative literature, with a specialization in literary theory (trauma studies and narratology) and an additional specialization in 20th–21st century Latvian literature.
