The competition for academic positions has concluded (on March 20)

The competition for academic positions at the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia has concluded. On March 20, 2024, the Scientific Council of the Institute voted by secret ballot on the candidates for the positions.

Inguna Daukste-Silasproģe was elected to the position of Leading Researcher in the Humanities and Arts in the field of linguistics and literary studies, subfield of Latvian literary history, with a specialization in the study of exile and post-exile cultural processes and the interaction between Latvian and other cultures.

Dace Bula was elected to the position of Leading Researcher in the Humanities and Arts in the field of “Other Humanities and Arts, including Creative Industries Studies,” with a specialization in ecocriticism and environmental humanities.
