The 4th episode of the podcast “Digital Humanities” has been released

The 4th episode of the podcast “Digital Humanities”“Citizen Science and DH” — has been released. In this episode, Haralds Matulis speaks with Sanita Reinsone, leading researcher and head of the Digital Humanities Group at UL ILFA.

This episode focuses on citizen science, exploring both its general definition and its specific development in Latvia. Haralds Matulis and Sanita Reinsone discuss the ongoing citizen science initiative “Balsu talka” (Voice Gathering), highlighting the profiles of contributors and researchers, as well as the importance of data quality in citizen science. They also examine the relationship between digital humanities, open science, and civic engagement, mentioning several other citizen science projects that invite public participation.

The podcast “Digital Humanities” features conversations with leading figures in the field about the latest DH research in Latvia. It is jointly produced by the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia (UL ILFA) and the National Library of Latvia.
