Sandis Laime will take part in the 14th International Baltistics Congress

On October 22 at the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore, Sandis Laime will meet with Lithuanian colleagues to discuss opportunities for research collaboration and will deliver a presentation at a seminar titled “Witches in Latvian and Lithuanian Folklore: Similarities and Differences.”
Meanwhile, on October 24, in the Latgalistics section of the 14th International Congress of Balticists, Sandis Laime, together with Angelika Juško-Štekele, will present research conducted within the project “Development of an Open and FAIR-Compliant Digital Humanities Ecosystem in Latvia” on the principles of normalizing Latgalian folklore texts in the digital archive of the Archives of Latvian Folklore, garamantas.lv — “In Search of Methodological Approaches to the Normalization of Digitized Latgalian Folklore Collections.”
Participation in the congress is one of the activities within the national research program project “Development of an Open and FAIR-Compliant Digital Humanities Ecosystem in Latvia” (No. VPP-IZM-DH-2022/1-0002).
