Participation of UL ILFA in a Folklore Researchers’ Event in Helsinki

On 2–3 September, a meeting of Finnish, Estonian, and Latvian folklore researchers took place in Helsinki, Finland. In addition to exchanging experiences on collection development, preservation, and engaging contemporary society, the focus was on the study of folk songs using digital methods and insights gained in the international project Filter (https://blogs.helsinki.fi/filter-project/). The Archives of Latvian Folklore were represented by UL ILFA researchers Sandis Laime and Ginta Pērle-Sīle.

The event was held within the framework of the Nordic Culture Point project Heritage and Futures Network (No. 31989).
