Life-Writing Researchers Meet in Riga

This week, on January 23–24, a group of life-writing researchers from the Nordic and Baltic countries is visiting the University of Latvia. The guests are hosted at the Faculty of Humanities by Associate Tenure-Track Professor Sanita Reinsone, who is involved in a NordPlus-funded project focused on life-writing research and practices in the region.
The purpose of this meeting is to develop an international study course in life-writing, which will launch in April 2025 and involve undergraduate and graduate students from Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, and Sweden.
Researchers Zita Kārkla and Ilze Ļaksa-Timinska from the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art (ILFA), University of Latvia, are also participating in the event.
These activities are part of the NordPlus project “New Approaches to Teaching Nordic and Baltic Lives” (ID NPHE-2024/10338).
