LATE Seminar

On December 19 of this year, the final seminar of the #LATE project will take place, presenting the project’s results and offering insights into the features of the dictionary platform tezaurs.lv and the principles behind the expansion of the Modern Latvian Language Dictionary (mlvv.tezaurs.lv). The seminar will also showcase the Latvian Sign Language Corpus and two contemporary spoken language corpora developed during the project: the LATE Conversation Corpus (korpuss.lv/id/LATE-sarunas) and the LATE Media Corpus (korpuss.lv/id/LATE-mediji).
At the end of the seminar, LU ILFA researchers Elīna Gailīte and Ilze Ļaksa-Timinska will demonstrate how the Latvian speech recognition (transcription) tool LATE, developed by the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Latvia (late.ailab.lv), is used for processing and transcribing audio recordings.
