Kitija Balcare has obtained Ph. D.

We sincerely congratulate UL ILFA researcher Kitija Balcare on a significant academic achievement — the awarding of the  Ph. D. in the humanities and arts, awarded upon the successful defence of her doctoral dissertation "Performing Arts in the Discourse of Ecocriticism: Ecotheatre in 21st-Century Latvia" at the University of Latvia on 25 November 2025.

We are proud of our colleague’s accomplishment and wish her many new discoveries in her future research!
