Inguna Daukste-Silasproģe participates in a short story conference dedicated to Anšlavs Eglītis

Commemorating Anšlavs Eglītis (1906–1993) on his 120th birthday, the personal stories conference “ANŠLAVS AND I. Between the Word, the Brush, the Stage and the Screen” will take place at Sigulda DEVONS on 14 October 2026, from 10:00 to 17:00. The conference will also feature the opening of the exhibition “Anšlavs Eglītis 120”.

The conference will consist of three thematic sections focusing on three aspects of Anšlavs Eglītis’s creative work: art, literature, and theatre. Inguna Daukste-Silasproģe, Senior Researcher at the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia, will give a presentation on literature and will also join Viesturs Vecgrāvis and Māra Ozola in a discussion on Anšlavs Eglītis and writing.

The conference is organised by the Anšlavs Eglītis Exhibition in Inciems, Sigulda DEVONS, and Sigulda Municipality.
