Final conference of the "Green Heritage" project
On Friday, October 3rd, the final hybridconference of the project "Green Heritage" will take place at the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.
During the event, the project outcomes, research findings, and developed recommendations will be presented.
The conference will bring together researchers, cultural heritage experts, policymakers, and representatives of the wider public to discuss the "Green Heritage" methodology and educational approach, the experiences of the communities involved, the safeguarding of intangible heritage in the context of climate change, as well as future opportunities for cooperation in this field.
The conference will be attended by Rita Zara, leading researcher at the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia and national coordinator of the "Green Heritage" project in Latvia, and Kitija Balcare, researcher at the same institute and member of the project team.
All interested parties are invited to attend the final conference remotely via the MS Teams platform.
The final conference is part of the international ERASMUS+ project “Green Heritage. The Impact of Climate Change on the Intangible Cultural Heritage”, which brings together partners and researchers from Latvia, Greece, Italy, Spain, and Belgium to address the direct and indirect impacts of climate change on intangible cultural heritage and its sustainability. The University of Latvia Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art represents Latvia in the project.
