The theme of this year’s conference is “Dark Side of Folklore and Folkloristics”, focusing on the “darker” aspects of folklore.
UL ILFA is represented by Zaiga Pleiko with the paper “Unveiling Aggression: Insights from Latvian Folk Songs on Married Life” (Agresijas atklāšana: atziņas no latviešu tautasdziesmām par laulības dzīvi) and Digne Ūdre with the presentation “A Faustian Bargain: Folk Culture for Sale” (Faustiskais darījums: tautas kultūras izpārdošana).
