Dace Bula’s monograph receives the Latvian Literature Annual Award

On April 26, the 2025 Latvian Literature Annual Award (LALIGABA) ceremony was held at Spīķeri Concert Hall under the slogan “LALIGABA Moves You.” The event celebrated the best books published in 2024 across six categories, as well as recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award and Special Awards.

We are delighted to announce that the monograph Literārās dabkultūras: Regīnas Ezeras zooproza ekokritiskā lasījumā by Dace Bula, published by the UL ILFA Press, has been recognized by the LALIGABA jury as the "Outstanding Work in Literary Research".

The award honors the monograph’s significant contribution to the development of Latvian literary theory and its innovative, impressively consistent analysis and interpretation of Regīna Ezera’s zooprose, grounded in contemporary theoretical and methodological approaches in modern ecocriticism.
