Competition Announced for Academic Positions (Applications Due by 04.11.2024)

The University of Latvia Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art (UL ILFA), in accordance with its Strategy (2022–2027), announces a competition for the following academic positions:

Leading Researcher (part-time) in the Humanities and Arts, in the subfield of Comparative Literary Studies within the field of Linguistics and Literary Studies, specializing in women’s writing and feminism.

Researcher (part-time) in the Humanities and Arts, in the subfield of Comparative Literary Studies within the field of Linguistics and Literary Studies, specializing in the study of Latvian literature in the context of regional processes, with an additional specialization in intercultural research.

Researcher (part-time) in the Humanities and Arts, in the subfield of Latvian Folkloristics within the field of Music, Visual Arts, and Architecture, specializing in the study of cultural processes — particularly in the development of research methods and theories in folkloristics and in the study of contemporary vernacular cultural practices.
Salary:

Leading Researcher — starting from EUR 630/month (gross)

Researcher — starting from EUR 525/month (gross)
