Benedikts Kalnačs participates in the myth criticism conference “Myth and Woman” in Madrid
From 26 to 30 October, the 9th International Congress on Myth Criticism, “Myth and Woman” (Mito y Mujer / Myth and Woman), will take place in Madrid. The congress will focus on the representation of women in classical and modern culture from the perspective of myth criticism.
Benedikts Kalnačs, Leading Researcher at the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia, will participate in the congress with a paper entitled “The Mythological Roots of Women Characters in Fin-de-siècle Latvian Drama.”
The congress is organised by the Faculty of Philology at the Complutense University of Madrid (Universidad Complutense), in collaboration with the ACIS Myth Criticism Research Group, the Asteria International Association for Myth Criticism, and Amaltea, the Journal of Myth Criticism.
