Benedikts Kalnačs participates in a conference in Georgia
From 25 to 27 September, an international symposium titled “Socialist Realism in Literature and Art” is taking place in Tbilisi, Georgia. The symposium is organized by the Georgian Association of Comparative Literature, the Shota Rustaveli Institute of Georgian Literature, and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
The conference features a plenary paper by Benedikts Kalnačs, Leading Researcher at the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia (LU LFMI), titled “Imposed Transformations: Socialist Realism and the Changing Landscapes of Identities.”
