Artists from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Visit the Archives of Latvian Folklore

How can we help Central Asian countries to shed their Soviet colonial legacy?
Given UL ILFA’s experience in developing postcolonial theory and researching contemporary culture, on September 27 the Archives of Latvian Folklore hosted contemporary artists Darija Termikhana from Kazakhstan and Munisa Holkhuajeva from Uzbekistan.
A recorded conversation by Valts Valters Kronbergs, featuring Dr. Toms Ķencis, UL ILFA leading researcher, will be available as part of the podcast series of the project “(Dis)solutions – Decolonial Encounters” organized by the Goethe-Institut Riga and the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art.
