Arta Krūze is participating in NEFK 2025

From June 11 to 14, the 36th International Nordic Ethnology and Folklore Conference (NEFK 2025) titled “Nordic 2.0 and Beyond” is taking place in Turku, Finland.

Among the participants is Arta Krūze, scientific assistant at the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia, who is presenting a paper titled:
“The Uneasy Cultural Heritage – Folk Songs About Alcoholism.”

The conference brings together more than 400 ethnologists and folklorists to discuss the roles of identity, archives, museums, and art in the interpretation of intangible heritage.
