An interactive network visualisation of NSRD and SEQUE recordings has been launched: we invite you to help supplement and correct the data

As part of the project "Primitive and Noisy Music in Soviet Latvia (1956–1986): Control Mechanisms and Practices of Avoidance Under Authoritarian Rule​​​​​​"​— in collaboration with Kevin C. Karnes, professor at Emory University (USA) and the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music — an interactive database visualisation of recordings by Hardijs Lediņš and Juris Boiko's groups Seque and NSRD has been created and is publicly available at: nsrd.lv/Seque_NSRD_interactive/.

This tool compiles and visualises the connections between everyone who participated in recordings by Seque and NSRD (Workshop for the Restoration of Unfelt Feelings) starting from 1976.

WE INVITE ALL MUSIC LOVERS, COLLECTORS, AND EYEWITNESSES TO GET INVOLVED!

Since evidence of unofficial and underground music history is often fragmentary, we invite you to explore the site. If you spot any errors or omissions, or can provide additional information (facts, dates, participants, or details of recordings), please write to us at Janis.Daugavietis@lulfmi.lv! Your knowledge will help to document Latvia’s avant-garde and alternative music heritage more accurately.
