A competition for an academic position has been announced (applications open until April 4, 2024)

The Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art of the University of Latvia (UL ILFA), in accordance with the UL ILFA Strategy (2022–2027), announces a competition for an academic position:

Leading Researcher in the Humanities and Arts, in the field of Music, Visual Arts, and Architecture, subfield of Latvian Folkloristics, with a specialization in the study of vernacular cultural practices and archival methodology.

The salary for the Leading Researcher position starts from EUR 800 per month (gross).

Applicants must submit:

  • an application,

  • a CV,

  • a copy of the document certifying scientific qualification,

  • a list of scientific publications (2018–2024),

  • and a vision of prospective research work for the six-year election period.

Documents must be submitted by April 4, 2024, either to the UL ILFA Secretariat (Mūkusalas iela 3, Room 510), or electronically by sending a copy to janis.oga@lulfmi.lv, or — if signed with a secure electronic signature — to info@lulfmi.lv (cc: janis.oga@lulfmi.lv) by the same deadline.
